What just started with some local residents gathering at the Hammond’s Grove picnic area in Path Valley has grown into something much more.
This year will mark the 115th year the picnic has been celebrated. What started as a one-day gathering, turned into a four-day event with the best parade around, fun activities for all, and a lot of great food.
It was featured in a contest hosted by the Franklin County Free Press and voted on by residents of Franklin County as The Best Event of Franklin County.
