The Shippensburg University volleyball team earned the Atlantic Region’s No. 4 seed for the 2019 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championships, marking the eighth time in school history that the Raiders have qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

Shippensburg will be making its seventh NCAA Tournament appearance in the last eight seasons under head coach Leanne Piscotty.

SU will face Millersville in the opening round. Time is TBA. The date is Thursday, Dec. 5.

It will be the third meeting of the season between the division rivals, with both squads posting a win on their home floor.

Wheeling, the Atlantic Region No. 1 seed, will once again serve as the host of the tournament. The tournament will be held Thursday — Saturday, Dec. 5-7.

The winner of the first-round match between SU and Millersville will advance to play the winner of the Wheeling (No. 1 seed) vs. Fayetteville State (No. 8 seed) match.
