52nd Annual Exhibition from June 9-13

The Franklin County Art Alliance will present its 52nd Annual Exhibition from June 9-13, with a reception and award ceremony Sunday, June 9 from 2-5pm, where over $2500 worth of awards will be presented. The show continues June 10-13, from 2-7 PM Monday through Thursday. A wide variety of paintings, photographs, prints and sculptures by area artists will be displayed at Calvary United Methodist Church, 150 Norlo Drive in Fayetteville. Awards have been chosen by judges Steven Pearson and Susan Benigni-Landis.

The largest art exhibition to be held annually in Franklin County, the 2024 Art Alliance show features 283 works by 79 area artists, and includes watercolors, oils, pastels, prints, drawings, mixed media and sculpture. Door prizes will be awarded each day throughout the show: original works of art by artists that include last year’s Best of Show winner Kent Roberts of Shippensburg, PA.

The Franklin County Free Press, established by Vicky Taylor in 2019, emerged as a beacon of local journalism for the residents of Franklin County. Under Vicky's leadership, it quickly became an essential source of news, particularly at a time when major newspaper publications were increasingly overlooking local coverage.

On January 1, 2022, the torch was passed to Nathan Neil and his firm, Neil Publishing, LLC. Neil, a local entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses in Chambersburg, shares Vicky's fervent commitment to both the community and the world of local journalism.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
