Munitions Response Site Prioritization Protocol (MRSPP) LEAD-001-R-01, Small Arms Firing Range (SAFR), on Letterkenny Army Depot, Pennsylvania

In accordance with 32 CFR 179.5, Letterkenny Army Depot invites the public, regulators, and other stakeholders to review Munitions Response Site Prioritization Protocol (MRSPP) for LEAD-001-R-01, Small Arms Firing Range. This site recently completed a Remedial Investigation, and the munition response site (MRS) encompasses 1.43 acres and was a former small arms range. The MRSPP is a methodology that assigns a relative priority score for response activities at the MRS. The Army offers all stakeholders this opportunity to participate throughout the MRSPP application.

Letterkenny Army Depot is an active Department of Defense (DoD) military installation, one of many throughout the United States reviewed under the MRSPP. The protocol used prioritizes former Munitions Response Sites with a potential for unexploded ordnance, discarded military munitions, or munitions constituents regarding future clean-up actions.

The MRSPP documents for Letterkenny Army Depot are available for public review on the Letterkenny Army Depot website at https://www.letterkenny.army.mil/News/ for 30 days. Please send comments or questions to Levi Thurman by no later than July 25, 2025.
