Recall Issued for Certain Toyo Open Country A/T III Tires

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a safety recall for certain Toyo Open Country A/T III tires.

The recall, identified as NHTSA Recall ID Number 26T005, affects the following tire sizes:

  • 265/70R18 116T
  • 265/60R20 115T

According to the recall notice, the tread may separate from the tire. Tread separation can cause a loss of tire pressure and vehicle instability, increasing the risk of a crash.

Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas, Inc. will replace the affected tires free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 1, 2026.

Owners may contact Toyo customer service at 800-442-8696 for additional information.

Consumers can also check whether their tire is included in a recall by entering the tire’s brand name or model into the NHTSA Recall Look-up Tool. If a tire is part of a recall, owners should contact the manufacturer for details about the remedy.
