Vee Tyre Recalls Taiga AT Tires Over Risk of Cracking and Separation

recall

Vee Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd. is recalling certain Taiga AT tires, size LT235/85R16 AT, under NHTSA Recall ID Number 26T006.

According to the recall notice, the lower sidewall and inner liner of the affected tires may crack and separate. The tires fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 139, “New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles.”

Tire separation can lead to tire failure and a sudden loss of tire pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the affected tires free of charge. Owners may contact Vee Tyre customer service at 1-212-564-7575. The company’s internal recall number is 20260116.

Consumers can check whether their tire is included in the recall by entering the brand name or model in the NHTSA Recall Look-up Tool. If a tire is part of the recall, owners should contact the manufacturer for additional details and remedy information.
