Saunders Tax & Accounting LAUNCHES CAMP EZRI SUPPLY DRIVE TO SUPPORT AT-RISK KIDS THRU APRIL

Saunders Tax & Accounting announces a community supply collection drive benefitting Camp Ezri, a local wilderness-based program serving at-risk children. The drive runs now through April 2026.

Camp Ezri provides children with opportunities to build confidence, character, and resilience through outdoor adventure and faith-based mentorship. Many of the children served have limited access to nature.

This supply collection drive directly benefits the children who attend Camp Ezri, many who have never experienced nature outside of what is on TV or in a local park.  “We chose to support Camp Ezri because of its commitment to helping children who face significant challenges early in life,” said Bev Stitely, owner of Saunders Tax & Accounting. “Time in nature can offer a separate peace from adult problems and healing for children growing up in difficult environments.”

Stitely adds, “We are always tender-hearted to the needs of children, especially those who are starting out in life at a marked disadvantage. If an experience at Camp Ezri helps a child get on the path to a healing journey, then we are all about it!”

“We hope the community will respond generously,” Stitely added. “Most of the requested items are everyday purchases—though we’ll admit Nerf guns and wood craft kits make this drive a little more fun.”  (see flyer attached)

Items need for Camp Ezri include:

  • Cases of Bottled Water
  • Cases of Flavored Water like ICE or other low sugar options
  • Cases of Gatorade Zero
  • Quick Fill Water Balloons
  • Nerf Guns
  • Wood Crafts to Paint – (Like those at Hobby Lobby)

Donations are being accepted at Saunders Tax & Accounting, located at 18710 Crestwood Drive, Hagerstown, MD. The lobby is open Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Who We Are

The Franklin County Free Press, established by Vicky Taylor in 2019, emerged as a beacon of local journalism for the residents of Franklin County. Under Vicky's leadership, it quickly became an essential source of news, particularly at a time when major newspaper publications were increasingly overlooking local coverage.

On January 1, 2022, the torch was passed to Nathan Neil and his firm, Neil Publishing, LLC. Neil, a local entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses in Chambersburg, shares Vicky's fervent commitment to both the community and the world of local journalism.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
