Shippensburg’s Roman Jensen named PSAC Eastern Division Football Offensive Athlete of the Week

Shippensburg University redshirt-sophomore quarterback Roman Jensen was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Athlete of the Week on Monday after throwing five touchdown passes in a 35-27 win at Millersville.

Jensen completed 16 of 26 passes for 242 yards and a career-high five touchdowns Saturday. His scoring passes covered 37, 45, 17, 13 and 24 yards.

He became the first Shippensburg quarterback to throw five touchdowns in a game since Brycen Mussina did so in a 62-33 win at Clarion on Sept. 18, 2021.

The Raiders totaled a season-high 414 yards on a season-low 57 snaps, averaging 7.3 yards per play. Shippensburg allowed no sacks for the first time since its Oct. 12, 2024, game at Millersville.

The award is the first of Jensen’s career and the first for a Raider this season. Andre Weidman was Shippensburg’s previous recipient, earning the honor Nov. 10 last season following a win over West Chester.
