Shippensburg’s Wilson Ingerski named PSAC Eastern Division Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Shippensburg University junior Wilson Ingerski was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week on Monday following the Raiders’ 35-27 win at Millersville.

Playing through an injury Saturday, Ingerski placed four of his five punts inside the 20-yard line. Three of those punts resulted in fair catches. On his other punt, he avoided two approaching Millersville players to prevent a blocked kick and sent the ball 26 yards downfield.

Ingerski also made all five extra-point attempts.

The honor is the first PSAC Eastern Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week award of his career and the first for a Raider this season. Ty Neal was Shippensburg’s previous recipient, earning the award Nov. 10 last season following a win over West Chester.
