SHIP U.’s Ryan Krumenacker named PSAC East Men’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of Week

Shippensburg University senior goalkeeper Ryan Krumenacker was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Men’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday after recording seven saves in two wins.

Krumenacker made five saves in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory at Bloomsburg. He added two saves during the first half of Saturday’s 1-0 Senior Day win over East Stroudsburg, sharing the shutout with fellow senior goalkeeper Jack McCann.

East Stroudsburg had defeated Shippensburg 6-1 in their previous meeting on Sept. 26. Saturday’s victory gave the Raiders their first consecutive conference wins since 2021.

The award is Krumenacker’s third career weekly honor, following selections on Sept. 9 and Sept. 30, 2024. He is the second Raider recognized this season, joining Nate Herb, who received the defensive award on Sept. 14.
