Ship U: Aaron Arp Jr., Drew Dailey selected for NCAA National Championships

Aaron Arp Jr. (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) and Drew Dailey (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) have been selected to compete at the 2022 NCAA Division II Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The 2022 NCAA Division II Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships are taking place at Grand Valley State University, located in Allendale, Michigan.

Dailey qualified in the 800 meters by running a school record of 1:48.67 in April at the Bucknell Team Challenge that his him slotted ninth in the event. The performance enhanced his school record in the event and will mark his NCAA Outdoor Championships debut.

Arp qualified in the 400 meters by running a season-best of 47.03 seconds at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Championships last week at Millersville. The performance has him ranked 13th in the competition. Arp, the school record holder in the 400 (46.81 seconds as a freshman in 2019 at the PSAC Championships), will be competing at nationals in the event for the second time after earning All-America honors as a freshman with an eighth-place finish. 

According to the current NCAA Championships meet schedule, the 400-meter prelims are scheduled for 5:40 p.m. Thursday, and the finals are scheduled for 3:05 p.m. Saturday. The 800-meter prelims are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, and the finals are scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
