An Adams County man was injured in a crash Monday on Wayne Highway in Quincy Township, Franklin County.

Caleb Harman, 20, was taken by ambulance to Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown, Md., for treatment of injuries he received in the 5:30 a.m. crash. A condition report was not available for Harman and police said only that he suffered injuries of undetermined severity.

Harman was southbound in a Dodge Ram in the 7900 block of Wayne Highway (Rt. 315) in Quincy Township behind a slow-moving piece of farm equipment when the crash happened. He tried to pass the farm vehicle at the same time a van driven by Mya Bruce, 40, of Chambersburg, was passing both the truck and farm vehicle, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report.

Harman’s truck hit the side of the van on its passenger side 3-o’clock position, police said. The impact sent the van into a guard rail on the east side of the highway. Bruce managed to bring her van to a controlled stop in the northbound lane facing east.

The truck went off the east side of the road, hit a cistern in a nearby yard then continued further into the yard and hit a fence before coming to rest facing the highway.

Harmon was not buckled into the truck, police said. He received a traffic citation.
