pa flag

Amazon has announced a $20 billion investment in Pennsylvania to build data center campuses in Luzerne and Bucks counties. The project marks the largest economic development initiative in the state’s history and is expected to create thousands of jobs.

Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA) praised the announcement, crediting collaboration between Amazon, Governor Josh Shapiro, and various government leaders for securing the deal. The project will also bring workforce training programs to the state.

The investment aligns with McCormick’s upcoming Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit, scheduled for next month in Pittsburgh. The event will gather energy and AI industry leaders, government officials, investors, and labor representatives to promote data center growth and job creation in Pennsylvania.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
