Born February 5, 1966, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late William and Florence Souter.

Drew graduated Magna Cum Laude from Strayer University where he majored in business. While attending Strayer, he became a Phi Beta Kappa and was the recipient of the Academic Medal of Honor.

Drew worked for a time in sales but his real passion was his love of music. Beginning at the age of 13 years old, he began performing as a DJ eventually making it his career. Drew was the consummate DJ. He commanded a room with his tunes that kept everyone dancing. Nothing made him happier than to see his dance floors filled and everyone having a great time.

His talent was enjoyed by thousands over the years, as he shared his musicality at many clubs and weddings throughout the DC metro area and Pennsylvania. Drew was also an avid Washington Capitals ice hockey fan and enjoyed watching This Old House, picking up tips which allowed him to do DIYs around his home.

He was also proud of his Scottish decent and claimed to be a very distance relative of “Robert the Bruce” King of Scots. He loved animals and was a very caring, loving and compassionate man. Drew’s greatest joy was making others happy.

Drew is survived by his fiancée, Ashley Honeywell of Waynesboro, PA and two sons, Christopher Souter of Floral Park, NY and Justin Souter of Leesburg, VA and all his friends that loved him.

In addition to his parents, Drew was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ann Souter, who helped raise him, and a brother, William “Billy” Souter.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, PA is handling the arrangements.

Online condolences may be expressed at the funeral home’s website.
