Anna F Pentz (Weller), 78, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023, in her home. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication, strength, and an indomitable spirit.

Born with unstoppable energy on September 26, 1944, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence L. Sr. and Betty I. (Armstrong) Weller.
Her restless nature led her on numerous ventures and pursuits throughout her life. After graduating from the Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the class of 1962, she entered York Hospital School of Nursing, and graduated as an RN in 1965.
She went to work at the Memorial Hospital in York, PA, and continued to work there for 41 years providing compassionate care and comfort to those in need. After retiring, she went to work at a nursing home in York for the next 10 years.
Beyond her medical career, Anna possessed an ardent love for antiques and collectibles. Sharing this passion with her daughter, she decided to make a business of it, despite still working full time in her nursing career. When she managed to find some rare moments of leisure, she enjoyed playing bingo and the thrill of going to casinos! She was smart as a whip,and loved the outdoors. She was never one to shy away from an adventure.
Anna will be remembered as a very strong, dependable and compassionate lady. Her zest for life permeated every activity she pursued, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by three children: Ronald E. Pentz of York, PA, Kimberly A. McCandless, of Shippensburg, PA, and Julie M. Anderson of Chambersburg, PA; one granddaughter, Erica M. Anderson and a great-grandson, Miles Anderson Patton, both of Columbia, PA; her beloved companion of 23 years, Paul M. “Mike” Rotz of Chambersburg, PA; her siblings: Vesta Kern, Clarence L. Weller, Jr., David L. Weller, Susan M. Burke, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael E. Weller and Martin L. Weller.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, PA, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating.
Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in the funeral home.
