SHIPPENSBURG — Robert Lee Snyder, 40, Shippensburg, has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault by a vehicle following a month-long investigation by Shippensburg police into a May 6 crash.
In addition to the felony aggravated assault while driving under the influence charge, Snyder has been charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence ( highest rate) and three summary offenses: racing on highways, reckless driving and providing the false reports to law enforcement.
Police did not provide details about the crash other than to say it involved a motorcycle and resulted in injuries. It happened at the intersection of East Orange and South Prince Streets
The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams on June 4, according to online court records. During a preliminary arraignment June 11, Adam’s set a $10,000 unsecured bail for Snyder.
He also scheduled a preliminary hearing in the case for Monday, June 24. That hearing has been rescheduled for August 7.
