Attempted Homicide: One in Custody, One at Large

On 7/12 a blue 2006 Infinity SUV drove past a residence and fired multiple rounds, striking two vehicles and a house.

No persons were harmed, but a dog that was inside was killed in the incident.

An individual was in residence at the time of the incident but did not receive injuries.

Police had been investigating and gathering information. At the time of the shooting, it was reported to be an isolated incident between two parties.

Dajohn Na’Rayn Sanders Arrested

Today the Chambersburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Division arrested Dajohn Sanders in connection with the shooting.  Sanders was transported to the Franklin County Jail.

He is charged with criminal conspiracy of attempted homicide, conspiracy aggravated assault, conspiracy aggravated cruelty to animals, and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.

Arrest Warrant out for Kaywan Dean Johnson

Additionally, the Chambersburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Division obtained an arrest warrant for Kaywan Dean Johnson in connection with the shooting.  Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Kaywan Johnson is asked to call the Chambersburg Police Department at 717-264-4131.

He is charged with criminal conspiracy of attempted homicide, conspiracy aggravated assault, conspiracy aggravated cruelty to animals, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, and an additional charge of recklessly endangering another person.
