Shippensburg University sports: Balint honored by sports magazine

David Balint III

Lindy’s Sports 2021 National College Football Magazine recently added Shippensburg University football tight end David Balint III (Landenberg, Pa./St. Mark’s (Del.)) to its Division II Preseason All-America First Team.

Balint III played in all 22 games during the 2018 and 2019 seasons, making 14 starts at tight end. As a redshirt-sophomore, the 2019 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) chose him for its All-America Football Second Team after he set single-season school records for receptions by a tight end (64) and receiving yards by a tight end (755). Balint III was also one of the team’s four captains for the 2020 season.

Lindy’s Sports annually produces a national college football preview that features sections on NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III.

Lindy’s Sports named 11 players from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) to the publication’s preseason All-America team. Its complete All-America list and season previews is currently available online and at various newsstands nationwide.
