Black and Blush Boutique – Blushing Over New Location

When Brittani Black and Cortney Hanks opened their online boutique in January of 2019, they only hoped that it would grow into a thriving business.  And to say that it has as they opened their brick and mortar a year later in January 2020 currently located at 81 N. Main Street in Downtown Chambersburg is an understatement.

Moving to a new location only seemed fitting since their business continues to grow. The new spot is right down the street at 54 S. Main Street and offers a lot more space with large display windows and marquee to welcome customers. According to Cortney, “we have just outgrown the size of our current location. With growth comes change. We are excited about the expansion with the new location.”

Larger selection, larger space

“Everyone seems to be very excited about the new store.  A larger selection of clothes and more room to move around.”  Cortney explained the need for a larger space.

“We are beyond excited when a business opens up in our downtown and we are even more excited an existing business in our downtown needs a larger space.”  Said Sam Thrush, President of Downtown Chambersburg, Inc.

Staying downtown was important to both Brittani and Cortney because they have loved the “warm” community and relationships that they have formed with other local business owners.

”With the help of Springview Properties and Josh Blankenship, we found the perfect spot.” Cortney said.

Sam agrees with Cortney on the fabulous job that Josh has done with this space. “Thank you to Springview Properties, specifically Josh for the time and investment on this new space. They had to remove old carpet to expose the hardwood floor and other unique features. This is one of many projects that Springview Properties has happening downtown, and we’re excited about the future.”

Store hours at the new location are Monday to Saturday 10-5.
