Book Donation Sites: Three Week Book Drive


As a supplement to its two highly successful Book Drop-Off Days in May, the Franklin County Friends of Legal Services group has announced the following local book donation sites for a three-week book drive, running from Sunday, July 10 through Saturday, July 30.

We Accept More Then Just Books

The group solicits not only books, used and new, hardback and paperback, but also artwork, CDs (including audio books), DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games. Encyclopedias, textbooks, records, cassettes, and VHS tapes are not accepted.

Rare books and collector’s items are welcome and are priced and displayed separately at the sale. The group will provide receipts for tax purposes on request. For more information or to coordinate delivery or pickup for larger donations, call 717-496-3364 or email

The Sale

The sale will take place on September 16-18 at the Chambersburg Mall. The sale will run from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Friday, September 16, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, and from noon to 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 18. Proceeds support the provision of civil legal services for low-income individuals in the community. F&M Trust, the law firm of DiLoreto, Cosentino, and Bolinger, Kegerreis Outdoor Advertising, M&T Bank, Orrstown Bank, and Volvo Construction Equipment are sponsors of the sale, having provided generous financial support for it.
