CareerTech Highlights Workforce Development Program

The Franklin County Career and Technology Center is recognizing Workforce Development Month by highlighting programs that prepare students for employment.

Through the center’s Workforce Development Program, students can explore careers, identify their strengths, develop communication and problem-solving skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and participate in job shadowing and work-based learning.

Workforce Development Coordinators Kathy Estep and Pat Parson supervise students participating in Capstone Cooperative Education. The program provides on-the-job training related to each student’s career and technical education program.

The Workforce Development Team also includes program instructor Lori Stockman and administrative assistant Kara Shank.

On January 1, 2022, the torch was passed to Nathan Neil and his firm, Neil Publishing, LLC. Neil, a local entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses in Chambersburg, shares Vicky's fervent commitment to both the community and the world of local journalism.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
