Carol Ann Souders

Born in Flemington, New Jersey, on January 9, 1949, Carol Ann was the cherished daughter of Mary Margaret Kelly and Harry Schaible. She grew up filling the hearts of those around her with boundless joy and compassion.

Carol Ann leaves behind a rich legacy of love and devotion, celebrated by her children and their spouses: Bethann and John Roskilly, Tami and Todd Knapp, Kim Rivera and her fiancé Adrian, and Ken Souders and his wife Erin. She was the doting grandmother of eight and proudly watched her love continue with eight precious great-grandchildren. Carol Ann’s memory will also be honored by her two steadfast brothers, Harry Schaible and his wife Nadine, as well as Robert Schaible and his wife Ronda.

Predeceasing Carol Ann were her parents, Harry Schaible and Mary Abbott (nee Schaible), her beloved brother Kenneth, and two cherished grandchildren, Trey and Eternity Rivera.

A proud graduate of Delaware Valley High School, Frenchtown, New Jersey, Carol Ann’s diligent work ethic and passion for people shone through her various roles. Her warm smile welcomed countless patrons at Ma Dee’s Diner in Milford, New Jersey, and her sincere camaraderie echoed behind the bars of American Legion Post #950, the old Riegelsville Tavern, and The Fig Tree Market, all in Riegelsville, Pennsylvania, prior to her retirement.

Beyond her vocational calling, Carol Ann was a fervent lover of life’s simple pleasures. She found solace by the water-fishing, camping, and savoring every moment at any beach. She held a special fondness for the nostalgia of old-school amusement games, the anticipatory thrill of bingo, and the unbridled joy of dancing and singing to the timeless tunes of the golden oldies.

Honoring Carol Ann’s wishes, services will be held privately.

A celebration of her life will unfold on March 9th where stories will be shared, laughter will resonate, and her spirit will dance among us once again.

Please contact Kim, Bethann or Kenny directly for the location of the Celebration of Carol.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Carol Ann’s vibrant spirit may direct memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association online here, or the American Heart Association online here.

For those who would like to offer tributes or share fond memories, online condolences can be expressed at the funeral home’s website.

Carol Ann’s legacy is etched in our hearts, and though she has spread her wings, the love she instilled in us forever.
