Born November 30, 1945 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lora Jean Hull Nuckels.

Aside from her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister Dona Nuckels Grove and a brother Herbert “Herbie” D. Nuckels.

Carol enjoyed playing card games, family game nights, and attending her grandchildren’s events. It was important to her, particularly, as her time dwindled away on this earth for her family and friends to know that she loved them very much.

The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks Mountain Valley Hospice for the care they provided. Most of all the family would like to thank Miss Tina, who was a very special caregiver in Carol’s final weeks.

A graveside service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in Carol’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, ALSAC/St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
