Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a Fulton County man has been sentenced to up to four years in prison following a conviction for strangulation.
Nicholas Hendershot, 25, of McConnellsburg, was found guilty by a Fulton County jury of felony strangulation.
According to testimony, Hendershot and his girlfriend argued after he installed a camera to watch her while he was at work. During the dispute, Hendershot grabbed her by the neck and held a tight grip in front of their two children. The victim testified she began to lose consciousness before he released her. She contacted the Pennsylvania State Police, who reported seeing red marks on her neck and a bloody face.
The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office referred the case to the Office of Attorney General. It was prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Julia Van Leeuwen and Senior Deputy Attorney General Jaime Keating.
