Rolling Green Cemetery and Parklawn Memorial Gardens will observe Memorial Day and honor our nation’s veterans who died while serving their country with two events.
At Rolling Green, guests will be treated to the posting of the colors by Cedar Cliff JROTC Color Guard and the wreath laying ceremony by Gary Boose, Sr. Vice Commander of VFW Post 7530 and Earl Goodhart, Commander of VFW Post 7415. Dennis Owens, news anchor for ABC 27, will emcee the event. Keynote speaker will be Frank Ryan, retired U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, colonel, who also served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 101st District from 2017 to 2022.
At Parklawns Memorial Gardens, David Madock will play bagpipes with VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard will present the colors. The guest speaker is an officer from the Carlisle Army War College.
Both events will include food and refreshments.
