CHAMBERSBURG SPECIAL EVENT AND DOWNTOWN CEREMONIAL RIBBON ANNOUNCEMENT

SPECIAL EVENT PERMITS

CRAVING TAMALES will be set up on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. until the end of the year (weather permitting) in front of Los Palmeras Restaurant at the Southgate Shopping Center.

NORTH SQUARE FARMERS MARKET will be held on Saturdays from May 25, 2024 to November 16, 2024 at the Chambers Fort Park parking lot area, from 6:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

THE TIM & SUSAN COOK MEMORIAL RACE will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 starting at 8:00 a.m. The event will include the closure of East McKinley Street from South Fourth Street to the Borough line.

THE CAPITOL THEATRE WILL HOST THEIR ANNUAL BACK LOT BLAST on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. All activities will take place in their parking lot at 159 South Main Street.

LIFE & HOPE CHURCH will host “Prayer Event Matthew 25” on Thursday, July 25, August 29, October 31 and November 28, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on the lot on the corner of Cedar Street and West Washington Street at the Southgate Shopping Center.

SAVING LIFE FOR CHRIST EVENT will be held on Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at 430 Cedar Street.

DOWNTOWN BUSINESS COUNCIL WILL HOST CHAMBERSFEST (OLDMARKETDAY) on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The event will be held downtown and will include the closure of Main Street, between King Street and Washington Street, and Lincoln Way, from Second Street to Hood Street, from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

FRANKLIN COUNTY VISITORS BUREAU WILL HOST THE RANSOMING, BURNING AND REBIRTH OF CHAMBERSBURG on Saturday, July 20, 2024 starting at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held downtown and will include the closure of Main Street, between King Street and Washington Street, and Lincoln Way, from Second Street to Hood Street, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:45 p.m.

THE IGLESIAS PENTECOSTES JESUCRISTO FUENTE DE VIDA CHURCH WILL HOST A COMMUNITY EVENT on Saturday, July 27, August 31, September 28, October 26, November 30 and December 28, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on the lot on the corner of Cedar Street and West Washington Street at the Southgate Shopping Center.

THE CHAMBERSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL HOST NATIONAL NIGHT OUT on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Memorial Park pavilion and soccer field area.
