CHAMBERSBURG — Police have obtained an arrest warrant for a local woman accused of stealing money from her employer and covering it up by charging a guest’s card with the same amount of money.
Chanell Renee Henderson, 42, of Chambersburg, is wanted on charges of theft by deception and access device fraud. All are first degree misdemeanors.
Chambersburg police filed the charges with Magisterial District Judge Glenn Manns on May 22, according to online court records. Manns has issued a warrant for Henderson’s arrest.
Police allege Henderson stole “a large amount” of money from her employer, then charged a guest’s credit card card that amount of money in an attempt to hide the theft.
Police did not provide the name of the business where Henderson was working at the time of the theft.
