Chrystal Lynn Gorby, 42, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Saturday morning, March 11, 2023, in her home.
Born November 20, 1980 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of Clyde William Naugle, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Blue Ridge Summit, PA.
Chrystal was a graduate of Catoctin High School in Thurmont, MD with the Class of 1999. She later completed studies to become a CNA.
A devoted wife and mother, Chrystal dedicated much of her life to taking care of others. She especially loved her time working as an in-home health aide with Helping Hands.
She cherished time spent with her children and was often found along the sidelines at their soccer games. The Christmas season was her most favorite time of the year. She spent countless hours decorating her home for the holiday and loved to prepare a big holiday meal to feed her family and friends. She loved to go camping with her family and ride motorcycle with her husband. Any time she spent with family and friends was always treasured.
In addition to her parents, Chrystal leaves behind by her husband of 12 years, Mark A. Gorby who she married June 26, 2010; three children, Brandy Gorby of Chambersburg and Landon Gorby and Mason Gorby, both at home; three grandchildren, Aliah Strine, Nova Reeder and Larena Reeder; brother, Travis William Naugle and his wife, Jessica of Rouzerville, PA; step-sister, Cherilyn Davis and her husband, Chad of West Virginia; Mark’s parents, Walter Gene and Rochelle Gorby of Fayetteville; Mark’s brother, Scott Gorby of Newville, PA and his children, Austin & Kaitlin Gorby; and a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Charlie Clippinger officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday evening, in the funeral home.
