Events all over our circulation have been cancelled or postponed, from meetings to concerts, graduation ceremonies to the summer festivals and carnivals we all love.
Here are a few announced recently.
Waynesboro Summer Jubilee
The July 4th Summer Jubilee Celebration in Waynesboro has been an iconic event for 24 years. This year, due to public health mitigation measures for the protection of the community, the Summer Jubilee Board has decided the celebration will be postponed.
This includes the Firecracker 5K, the daytime events and the fireworks. The Board will meet on June 2nd to re-evaluate the situation. We’ll share updates on our website and on our Facebook page, so be sure to follow us for the latest news.🇺🇸
Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department
FVFD has cancelled its fund raising events this month. This includes the weekly Friday Bingos, Lucky 7 Bingo, May’s Public Dinner, and Spring Gun & Cash Bash.
Those who purchased tickets for the Lucky 7 Bingo or Gun & Cash Bash can use those tickets for the next Lucky 7 on Oct. 7 or Gun & Cash Bash Sept. 12.

Fayetteville Carnival Update
Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Carnival won’t take place this year as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic crisis.
The department plans a replacement event that will meet social distancing guidelines to give the community a chance toat leastbenjoyb carnival food this summer.
