Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Warns Residents About Scam Calls

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about scams involving callers or text messages demanding money.

The Sheriff’s Office said it will never call or text someone demanding money to be paid over the phone. It will also never request payments through Bitcoin, PayPal or Cash App.

The office said it will not issue an arrest warrant for missing jury duty without prior communication.

Residents who receive a suspicious call are advised to hang up and contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office directly at 717-240-6390.

Franklin County Schedules Mosquito Spray For Hamilton Township
