Cumberland Valley School of Music is offering master classes for students preparing to audition for PMEA District Band, Chorus or Orchestra.
CVSM faculty will provide students with audition strategies and preparation tips. At least one student volunteer per instrument will perform the audition piece and receive feedback and techniques from faculty. Students attending will be able to listen and learn from the volunteer’s experience.
The sessions will be held Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. The Chorus Masterclass is scheduled for Oct. 4, while the Band and Orchestra Masterclasses will be held Oct. 18.
CVSM will also offer Band and Orchestra Mock Auditions on Nov. 15. Students will perform their prepared district band piece and receive individual feedback from faculty. Exact audition times will be assigned closer to the date based on enrollment.
