Three Franklin County students are among Reach Cyber Charter School’s Class of 2020. Friends, family and faculty celebrated the accomplishments of Jessica Garcia (Chambersburg), Megan McKean (Waynesboro) and Quinn Taylor (Chambersburg) in a virtual commencement ceremony June 9.
In addition to the three students from Franklin County, 17 students from nearby Adams and Cumberland Counties are among Reach Cyber Charter School’s Class of 2020. They include:

These students were among the 465 high school seniors participating in the tuition-free online school’s virtual commencement ceremony June 9.
STEM-focused cyber school
A statewide STEM-focused cyber school, Reach Cyber served more than 3,600 students in grades K-12 this school year. The majority of the graduates in the Class of 2020 have plans to further their education or start a career.
About 42% of the graduating seniors plan to attend a two or four-year college; 22% have decided to enter the workforce; 13% plan to attend vocational training, and others have aspirations such as the military or missionary work.
The Class of 2020 was the second-ever class to graduate from Reach Cyber Charter School, which opened in 2016. Additionally, 39 students were inducted into the Inaugural Founders Club, honoring those students who were the first to attend Reach Cyber for their entire high school education (9th through 12Th grades).

Dozens of students in the Class of 2020 graduated a year or semester earlier than they would have in a traditional program by pursuing Reach Cyber’s Accelerated Pace program. That program allows students to attend summer, fall and spring sessions full-time to earn more credits throughout the year.
