The D.L. Martin Co. recognizes Ron Kaiser as Employee of the Month for February. Ron lives in Mercersburg and has been with the company for 31 years. He is a Machine Operator in the CNC Department. His supervisor, Mike Wood, is a Production Supervisor who has been with the D.L. Martin Co. for 28 years.
To eliminate the need to touch off the tool on every piece to keep from changing the .200 radius when removing the center drill nub on various chisels run on the Mazak QT 300 Lathe, Ron suggested changing the CNC program to make the radius cut on the 2nd operation when facing off the nub.
The company also recognizes Duane Brown, Paul Carmack and Jane Rusin for their suggestions implemented through the company’s Continual Improvement Program in February.
