Dan Almoney Urges Opponent to Reject PAC Tied to Hate Groups

Today, Dan Almoney calls on his opponent Marc Anderson to denounce the endorsement and reject support from the PA Economic Growth PAC.  This comes after the Political Action Committee, backed by Rep. Mike Jones and Dawn Keefer of York County harassed and intimidated a York County teacher and school board member over the weekend.

Almoney released the following statement:

“The PA Economic Growth PAC has been the driving force behind the turmoil happening in our school districts, not just in Northern York, but across the county.  The extensive media coverage of their secret warehouse meetings, book ban attempts and culture wars have made our students and teachers victims of partisan political extremism.

This organization, which also has ties to the nationally designated hate group Mom for Liberty, played a major role in helping my opponent win his primary election.  But after this weekend’s events, it is clear the mission is to further divide members of the community and attack those that disagree with them.

Mr. Anderson must decide whether he will denounce the actions of the PA Economic Growth PAC and be committed to addressing the issues in our community.  Or, will he continue to be a political puppet for this organization that has given him over $25,000 in support to enhance its political power grab.

My campaign is supported and backed by members of the community I wish to represent.  I’m not beholden to political interests.  My mission hasn’t changed.  I intend to be an advocate for my community and solve the problems we face across our district.

Dan Almoney is a Democrat running for State Representative in Pennsylvania’s 92nd District.  Media inquiries can be made by calling 717-502-2112 or email teamdan@danforpa92.com.  For more information visit danforpa92.com.

Who We Are

The Franklin County Free Press, established by Vicky Taylor in 2019, emerged as a beacon of local journalism for the residents of Franklin County. Under Vicky's leadership, it quickly became an essential source of news, particularly at a time when major newspaper publications were increasingly overlooking local coverage.

On January 1, 2022, the torch was passed to Nathan Neil and his firm, Neil Publishing, LLC. Neil, a local entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses in Chambersburg, shares Vicky's fervent commitment to both the community and the world of local journalism.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
