Daniel Bryan Gentry of Waynesboro, PA, lost his battle to covid-19 on January 7, 2022.
Born November 19, 1977, he was the son of Darell and Debra Gentry of Waynesboro, PA.
Daniel, “Tank” to many, was a righteous man who lived life on his own terms by a code many didn’t understand. He was tough as nails with a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone, but you could guarantee he’d be late. It was commonly known as “Tank Time”. However, no matter how late it was, you knew without a doubt, he’d be there.
Daniel loved his family, his friends and his motorcycle club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, with a passion for the outdoors. His love for motorcycles was endless. If he wasn’t riding, he was somewhere tinkering on a bike. He didn’t ride to add days to his life, he rode to add life to his days. When he wasn’t fishing, hunting or riding, he was wrapped around the finger of his pride and joy, his grandson Bryan. It was relationship based on love, appreciation, fun and pure joy. The two had an unbreakable bond, as the best of friends.
Whether he was called Daniel, Dan, Dad, Grampy or Tank, he has left a hole in the hearts and lives of many. His legacy will live on through his stories, his memories, his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by fiancé Sarah Smith; daughter, Destiny; and grandson, Bryan; son, Nation; two stepsons, Dakota and Dalton; his sister Joanna and husband Dustin Swope; three nephews, Cyrus, LaDainion & Alarik; his Pagan brothers; and a host of family and friends.
The family will hold a private ceremony. Details regarding a Celebration of Life to be determined at a later date.
Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro is handling the arrangements.
Online condolences may be expressed at the funeral home’s website.
