Mrs. Darlene G Gladhill (George), 76, a resident of South Mountain Restoration Center and formerly of Waynesboro passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born April 24, 1946 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Melvin G. and Gladys I. (Mentzer) George.
Mrs. Gladhill was a homemaker. She attended services at Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church and enjoyed watching T.V.
She is survived by one son, Robert Hawbaker and his wife, Lisa of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Robert A. Hawbaker, Dustin E. Hawbaker and Taylor Hawbaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest G. Gladhill who passed away October 16, 2022; one son, Charles Hawbaker; and one brother, Harlan R. “Sonny” George.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023 in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade, MD.
Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
