Mr. David F Storley, 87, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Well Span Waynesboro Hospital.
Born December 7, 1935 in Beloit, WI, he was the son of the late David G. and Dorothy (Missner) Storley.
He was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School with the Class of 1953.
Mr. Storley served in the United States Army from 1958-1960 where he was stationed in France.
He and his wife, the late Mrs. Lois A. (Martz) Storley, were married August 24, 1957. They were married for 47 years when she passed away January 31, 2004.
Mr. Storley began his career as a machinist at Landis Tool Company from 1953-1957. Prior to his retirement in 1999, he worked as a draftsman in the engineering department at Jamison Door Co., Hagerstown, MD for 42 ½ years.
He was a member of Quincy United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by three children, Tamara S. Walter (Dennis) of Rouzerville, PA, Lori A. Breese (Brian) of State Line, PA and Todd G. Storley (Elizabeth) of Springfield, VA; three grandchildren, Brandon Walter, Aubrey Breese and Ariann Breese; two great-grandchildren, Leah Walter and Maggie Walter; one sister, Beverly Heffernan of Mt. Dora, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Storley and Richard Storley.
Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Rev. Kraig Faust officiating. Burial will follow in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday evening, in the funeral home.
