Monica Diehl, MSN, RNC, officially assumed leadership responsibilities as Keystone Health’s Chief Nursing Officer on Jan.1.
Diehl has a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Wilson College, and an Associate degree in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University. She is a current participant in the Leadership Franklin County program (class of 2022).
Diehl previously worked as a Registered Nurse with Family Birthing Services and an adjunct faculty member at Wilson College. She received the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce 2021 Healthcare Worker of the Year Award.
“Keystone Health is a remarkable organization,” Diehl says of her new role. “I am amazed everyday by the hard work and dedication of our employees as we work to improve the health and quality of life of the people and communities we serve.
She looks forward to the work ahead while Keystone Health continues to meet and adapt to community health needs. Like many healthcare organizations, our response to COVID-19 has been a priority and (that) will continue; but I look forward to strengthening and developing new initiatives to improve the health of our community”.
Keystone Health President/CEO Joanne Cochran praises Diehl’s work in organizing Keystone’s vaccination program over the last two years.
“Under her capable leadership, our nurses will become stronger interdisciplinary team members,” she said.
