Dina Starliper, 101, of Mercersburg, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 in Greencastle, PA.
Born September 22, 1923 in Three Springs, PA, she was a daughter of the late Dominic Memmi and Grace Facchini.
Dina graduated from Orbisonia High School in 1942. Throughout her life, Dina worked for the Fairchild Aircraft Corporation, McCoy Electronics, Phillips Seed Store, and she helped prepare food for the Head Start program.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and enjoyed spending Friday mornings at McDonald’s with her friends. Dina also enjoyed watching baseball and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles.
Dina is survived by 3 children, Dolly (Gary) Bashore, Brenda (Donald) Menaker, and Stanley (Kimberly)
Starliper, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, and a sister, D. Clementina Memmi.
Dina was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, W. Starliper, a grandchild, Gabriel Peter Castelli, and
10 siblings.
Dina was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, and a member of St. Luke The Evangelist Mission in Mercersburg.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Fries Funeral Home in Mercersburg with Deacon Daniel R. Signore, III officiating.
There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service.
Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA.
