Donald Lee “Don” Shetter 1939~2022


Donald Lee “Don” Shetter, Sr., 83, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born on May 4, 1939 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Paul Edwin and Dorothy (Seylar) Shetter.

Don was a member of the Greenvillage Church of God. He was a lover of animals and a proud dairy farmer for over 45 years.

He is survived by two sons, Tony L. (Michelle Bly) Shetter and Donald L. (Penny) Shetter, Jr.; two grandchildren, Tyler Patrick (fiancé Ciara Earlywine) Shetter and John Lee (companion Sabrina Rohm) Shetter; eight great-grandchildren, Everleigh Annajean Shetter, Adelina Olivia Shetter, Alyssa Rose Shetter, Brandon Chase Shetter, Jacob Dustin Shetter, Hunter Michael Shetter, James Devon Shetter, and Nikita Rose Shetter; one great-great-grandchild, Hazel Renay Shetter; and two siblings, Gary (Carol) Shetter and Vonda (Bill) Morrison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mary Jane (Stuck) Shetter, who passed away on December 1, 2008. Also preceding him in death is one son, Ronald Shetter; and three siblings, Joyce Shives, Paul “Sonny” Shetter, and Norma Horst.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Jeremy Garman and Rev. Dr. Tony Shetter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Otterbein Cemetery.

A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
