E Irene Carbaugh, age 82, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Embassy of Woodland Park in Orbisonia, PA.
Irene was born on December 8, 1940, in Bedford, PA, the daughter of the late John Imler and Vergie Imler.
Irene married the late Richard Gary “Dick” Carbaugh (deceased on May 27, 2020) on December 11, 1959.
Irene worked as a seamstress for the Sager Company, and later retired from Waring Products in McConnellsburg, PA.
Irene was a loving mother to two sons: Edward (husband to Linda) Carbaugh of St. Thomas, and Anthony Carbaugh (companion Janice) of McConnellsburg. Irene was the grandmother to Molly (wife of Tyler) Grissinger of Shippensburg, Sierra Carbaugh of McConnellsburg, Krystal Harris (fiancé of Roger Everts) of McConnellsburg and Candy Letbetter of St. Thomas, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-granddaughter. Irene is also survived by two brothers, Sam Morgan of Mercersburg, PA and Michael Imler of Claysburg, PA.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gary “Dick” Carbaugh, her parents, John and Vergie Imler, one grandson, Cordell Carbaugh, three brothers, Orvil, Kelly, and Warren, and two sisters, May and Opal.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg, PA, at 1 p.m. with visitation at the funeral home from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Â
Interment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery in McConnellsburg, PA. Â
The family has entrusted Irene’s care to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg, PA.
