Edna O. Crawford 1931-2025

Edna O. Crawford, 93, of St. Thomas, PA passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born March 10, 1931 in Needmore, PA she was the daughter of the late Raymond G. and Flora H. (Mills) Clark. 

She was employed as a nurse aide at Manor Care, Chambersburg for 25 years. She was also employed at Waynesboro Hospital and Piney Mountain Nursing Home.

Edna enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, cooking, and hosting family holidays. She attended local festivals at Twin Bridges and the ox roasts at St. Thomas AMVETS. Edna enjoyed listening and singing along to country and gospel music. More than anything she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Dwight M. Crawford of Warfordsburg, PA, Carolyn L. Clark of St. Thomas, PA, and Barbara J. Thomas of Chambersburg, PA; seven grandchildren, Darren and Jason Crawford, Chris Webber, Heather and Mike Clark, and Daniella Crawford; nine great-grandchildren, Chloe, Cortlyn, Corbyn, Kason, Briana, Spencer, Bryce, Carson, and Emerson; three great-great-grandchildren, Kataleia, Cameron, and Jaxton; and number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dalton M. Crawford; a son, Alvin Crawford; a grandson, Israel Webber; four brothers, Charles, Guy, Clyde, and James Clark; and four sister, Rose Truax, Helen Deshong, Gladys Tomter, and Evelyn Mellott. 

Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2025 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Doug Lehman officiating.

Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. 

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday evening in the funeral home as well as one hour prior to the service Friday morning in the funeral home.
