She was born on May 1, 1935, in Elizabethtown, a daughter of the late Mervin M. and Mary E. (Reider) Fansler, Sr.

Eldora married James E. Gleim, Sr., on February 5, 1954, in Oberlin. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2017.

Early in life, Eldora worked as a telephone switchboard operator and seamstress, however after marriage and starting a family she transitioned into being a homemaker.

She was also well known for choosing the most appropriate cards for birthdays, anniversaries, etc., for her family and friends. You could always count on receiving a heartfelt card from Eldora.

She attended the Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg, and was a person of strong faith who read her bible and prayed every single day.

In her free time Eldora enjoyed tending to her extensive flower beds and she was also very good at crafting and art, especially painting and drawing.

She is survived by five sons, James E. Gleim, Jr., and wife Cindy of Middletown, Jeffrey E. Gleim and wife Tina of Wellsville, John E.
