The D.L. Martin Co. recognizes Ken Embly as Employee of the Month for December.
Ken lives in Martinsburg and has 13 years of service with the company. He is a Machine Operator in the CNC Department. His supervisor, Alan Bryan, is a Production Supervisor who has been with the D.L. Martin Co. for 2 years.
Embly’s suggestion involved a better, more efficient way to drill holes in omega brackets in the manufacturing process.
It eliminates having to drill the holes in the brackets one at a time on the Mori Seiki MH 630 Horizontal Machining Center after the bending operation.
Ken suggested drilling the holes before the bending operation instead so multiple parts can be drilled at one time on the less expensive Mazak MTV-815 Vertical Machining Center.
The company also recognizes Cory Kaiser for his suggestion implemented through the company’s Continual Improvement Program in December.
