Eric Chamberlin, 38, of Gettysburg entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2023.
He passed away peacefully at home after a brave battle with colon cancer. He spent his final days surrounded by loving family members.
Eric was born on August 8, 1985 to Kenneth and Sharon Chamberlin of Shippensburg, PA.
He was a 2004 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School and a 2008 graduate of Shippensburg University. Eric was an accomplished athlete and enjoyed participating in various sports.
He grew up attending Newburg First Church of God and was a man of strong faith, which served as his firm foundation during his cancer battle. Most recently, he attended Gettysburg Foursquare Church.
Eric was employed by the Federal Communications Commission as an Industry Analyst. He was a dedicated father, husband, and avid golfer. If he was not working, you would often find him on the sidelines at his daughters’ sporting events or on the golf course.
Eric loved making people laugh and was a wonderful storyteller. His family, colleagues, and friends will miss his wit and humor.
In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 15 years, Justina (Misner) Chamberlin; two daughters, Avary and Mia; both his maternal and paternal grandmothers, Mary Chamberlin and Marie Ocker; one sister, Stephanie Horgos and her husband, Brad Horgos; and many other beloved family members including in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Kenneth Chamberlin and Alfred Ocker, and his great-grandparents.
