Erwin Barz, age 92, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at his home.
Born January 30, 1931, in Weilerbach, Germany he was the son of the late Ludwig and Hilda Fisher Barz.
Mr. Barz worked as the plant manager for the former J. Schoenaman Company until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed golf, and watching the Yankees and Giants play.
Surviving is the love of his life, his wife, Carol Emrich Barz; two children, Walter L. Barz of Agawam, MA and Karla Conway (husband George) of Saratoga Springs, NY; five grandchildren, Kelsey Barz and Megan, Mikala, Gunnar, and Margaret Conway; and one sister, Hildegard Legrum of Weilerbach, Germany.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ludwig Barz and Walter Barz.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 1 – 2 p.m. in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
