CHAMBERSBURG, PA (January 29, 2019) – The Cumberland Valley School of Music’s largest fundraising event of the year — it’s annual Dinner Dance and Auction, That’s Amoré — is the public’s chance to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a special way while supporting the premier music school.
The extravagant event at The Orchards Restaurant, 1580 Orchard Drive in Chambersburg is fast approaching, so those interested need to take action soon.
That’s Amore is set for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, February 16. Tickets are $100 per person or $750 for a table of 8. Call CVSM at 717-261-1220 or visit www.cvsmusic.org/product/dinner-dance to purchase tickets.
The black tie optional event features a wide variety of Italian fare, hand selected by Enrico Guarriello and expertly prepared by Chef Mike Kalathas. Features include: prosecco welcome, hors d’oeuvres and a three course authentic Italian meal with complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks. An authentic Dolcé (dessert) course features assorted sweets from Ferrara’s Famous Italian Bakery in New York City.
Attendees enjoy live music for dinner and dancing performed by the award-winning Central City Orchestra (CCO). CCO is a horn band with full rhythm section and three great singers, who play a wide variety of styles and genres.
“I am excited about That’s Amoré,” says Paula Hepfer, CVSM Executive Director. “The food and wine will be fabulous, I’ve tasted it! The band, Central City Orchestra, is awesome. I heard them this summer at Rehoboth Beach with my family. Everybody loved them. It will be a wonderful evening.”
John Kohler of Gateway Gallery Auction leads a fast-paced live auction featuring items such as a wine tasting event at the home of Enrico (aka Hank) and Jan Guarriello, a get-a-way weekend at Global Data Corporate Lodge, and a fully stocked whiskey bar.
Silent auction items include a three-hour performance at your party by Nite-Fuel, a local classic rock cover band; Discover Scuba package for two; autographed Super Bowl LII photo of Philadelphia Eagle Nick Foles; photo from the film “Goodfellas,” autographed by Ray Liotta; ticket Passports to Totem Pole Playhouse; jewelry from Ludwig’s Jewelers; ladies accessories and gift certificate courtesy of Here’s Looking At You; men’s shoe care & sock gift basket from Lyons & Company; gift baskets featuring children’s toys, home décor and more.
The event also features a raffle for 37 bottle wine refrigerator pre-stocked with hand selected wines.

All proceeds benefit CVSM, a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted.
That’s Amoré is much more than a party. It is about raising funds to enhance the county’s musical community. The live auction includes a “Fund-a-Need” component, where attendees pledge tax-deductible contributions to the school.
Founded in 1990, the Cumberland Valley School of Music (CVSM) is a non-profit organization. Over 750 students enroll at CVSM in a given year, served by 50 highly qualified faculty members.
CVSM teaches all orchestral and band instruments, voice, piano, guitar, drama and theatrical techniques, Suzuki piano, and numerous classes for all ages. The school awards both need-based and merit-based scholarships to area students and provides music education opportunities throughout the community.
