Chambersburg Volunteer Fireman’s Museum Third Annual Truck & Engine Show
October 11 All day
The Chambersburg Volunteer Fireman’s Museum will hold its 3rd Annual Truck & Engine Show on Oct. 11, 2026.
The museum, located at 441 Broad Street in Chambersburg, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated by a volunteer board. Its mission includes preserving firefighting history, artifacts and information connected to Chambersburg.
The building originally served as the Cumberland Valley Hose Company from 1900 to 1975. The museum now houses antique engines and other historic items, including an 1850 fire hose cart from the era of the 1864 Burning of Chambersburg.
The collection also includes relics and memorabilia from traditional parades, historic inventions, uniforms and other items dating back to the previous century.
The museum offers free tours on select Sundays and during special community events. It also hosts the annual Truck & Engine Show to give the public additional opportunities to learn about the museum and its collection.
According to the museum, donations from community members, businesses and organizations help cover maintenance and overhead expenses.
The museum is currently seeking community and donor support to raise money for repairs to structural damage. Funds generated through museum tours and the annual truck show also support preservation of the museum.
As a registered 501(c)(3), the Chambersburg Volunteer Fireman’s Museum may accept sponsorships and donations.
