F Joann Bingaman, 82, of Burnt Cabins, entered into rest June 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 22 years to David L. Bingaman.
Born June 29, 1939 in Six Mile Run, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Stella Virginia (Long) Barton.
Joann was a devoted employee of the former Mountain Valley Center in Chambersburg, working as a loving caregiver with handicapped adults, until retiring.
Most of all, Jo will be remembered as loving to spend time with family and friends. Other activities she enjoyed included cookouts and fire rings, gardening, canning and video chatting. She always wanted to be busy and liked to work indoors as well as outdoors.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Virginia M. Adams, (David) of Chambersburg, a son, Glen Alan Hughes (Suzanne) of S. Carolina, and daughter-in-law, Carol Bradley, (Mike Coons) of Fort Loudon, stepsons, David (Terri), Billy and Jason Bingaman and a stepdaughter, Tammy Johnson. Eight grandchildren: Greg, Tiffany, David, Megan, Derek, Jessica, Dylan and Whitney, 11 step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Additional survivors include a brother, Dennis Barton (Cinda) of Oak Harbor, OH, brothers-in-law, Teddy, Denny and Frank, sisters-in-law, Pam, Camilla and Cindy.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Ehing, Jr., brothers, James and Ronald Barton and Terry Johnson, sister-in-law, Patricia Smith and a stepdaughter, Penni Brown.
The family will receive friends in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, PA on July 16, 2020 at 10 a.m., followed by her Memorial Service at 11 a.m.
