During the early morning hours of Thursday, March 2, a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 in Franklin County claimed the life of one person, according to the Franklin Fire Company.
Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after midnight to mile marker 19 on Interstate 81 for a vehicle accident with entrapment. Upon arrival, first responders found a vehicle that had crashed into a bridge support between the northbound and southbound lanes. Unfortunately, the occupant was found deceased at the scene.
At this time, the name and age of the victim have not been released, and no other injuries have been reported.
